Dr. Fisher is an Associate Professor in the Psychiatry Department at the University of Minnesota Medical School, and Director of Assessment for the CoTIPP Research Lab. She specializes in the study of psychosis, the assessment of neurocognition, clinical symptoms, and functional outcomes, and the effects of neuroscience-informed cognitive training. For the past 15 years, she has worked in Dr. Vinogradov’s research labs studying these effects in adults with chronic schizophrenia, young adults with recent-onset psychosis, and adolescents at high risk for psychosis. Her current research interests include the effects of cognitive training and assessments delivered remotely, the implementation of measurement-based care and cognitive training in clinics that specialize in early intervention services for individuals with psychosis, and in clinics that provide specialized care for pregnant women and mothers with and without emotional distress.
