Josephine Abate, MA

Research Coordinator

 

Josephine graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2018 with a Masters in Clinical-Counselling Psychology. She joined the department shortly after graduating and worked with Drs. Cullen and Klimes-Dougan on a study assessing the influence of self-injury on brain development among adolescent girls.

Josephine will be working as a study coordinator for the Mother-Baby Project which is a collaborative, multi-site study with the Women’s Wellbeing Program and the Mother Baby Program at Hennepin Healthcare to test if measurement-based care is helpful to pregnant women and mothers.

Her research interests include suicidality among youth and mental health stigma among refugee populations.
