Aim 2 Overview: Cognitive Training and Motivational Support

PURPOSE
Aim 2 of our study evaluates the effectiveness of remote mobile app-based interventions for psychosis and their impact on behavior, cognition, and functioning. Our goal is to help our clients sharpen their thinking skills, sustain motivation, and improve their quality of life.

STUDY DESIGN
Aim 2 is a randomized clinical trial that clients can opt in to. Participants are assigned to one of two groups:

  •  Treatment as Usual (TAU)
  • Targeted Cognitive Training (TCT): 20 hours of cognitive training over 12 weeks via
BrainHQ mobile phone app. Access to PRIME motivational support mobile phone app.

OUR APPROACH
Aim 2 of our study offers clients the opportunity to participate in research aimed at providing support in two key areas: motivation and cognition. To target these foundational aspects of recovery, we’ve designed two custom mobile apps: PRIME, which focuses on boosting motivation, and BrainHQ, which provides cognitive training. Our goal is to assess the potential of these apps to positively impact our clients’ motivation and cognition, as well as their overall functioning and well-being.
