Jessica Arend

Jessica Arend (she/they) has worked in research at the University of Minnesota Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences since 2017. Jessica currently coordinates the STEP study, a project exploring information processing and learning in early psychosis. The STEP study is a collaboration across the CoTIPP lab in the Department of Psychiatry, the TRiCAM lab in the Department of Psychology, and the trans-disciplinary NeuroPRSMH initiative. Jessica is interested in the identification of psychosis risk and the development of preventative and interventional care for people with psychotic disorders. Additionally, Jessica is interested in the neurobiological mechanisms underlying cognitive and social functioning impairments in psychosis.
